Tort Defense and Plaintiff Medicals and Forensic Analyses

Personal injury cases often involve litigation.

A Tort medical evaluation or “Med Legal” is a comprehensive, objective medical evaluation designed to define case issues and assist in conflict resolution.

Our trial tested assessors have extensive experience in determining causal relationships and in using evidence-based principles to evaluate an injured person’s level of

  • impairment,
  • prognosis,
  • future care,
  • maximum medical improvement, and
  • work capacity.

How do Tort Assessments work?

Tort assessments are either conducted in-person where feasible, or by way of a forensic paper review analysis in circumstances where warranted.

RIDM in-house paralegals assist with all aspects of litigation, including;

  • arranging teleconference calls
  • trail scheduling
  • trial preparation
  • video depositions (if required)
  • scheduling of interpreters, transportation and accommodations.
